عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مِحْصَنٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ رَضيَ اللهُ عنهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ أَصْبَحَ مِنْكُمْ مُعَافى فِي جَسَدِهِ، آمِنًا فِي سِرْبِهِ، عِنْدَهُ قُوتُ يَوْمِهِ، فَكَأَنَّمَا حِيزَتْ لَهُ الدُّنْيَا».Understand this hadith
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) informed that whoever among you, O Muslims, wakes up in the morning safe and sound in his body, free from ailments and sicknesses, secure in himself, his family, his dependents, and his way, and not afraid, and has enough lawful sustenance for the day—then it is as if the entire world has been gathered for him.
Lessons from the hadith
- Clarifying the necessity of man's need for health, security, and sustenance.
- The slave must praise Allah Almighty and show gratitude to Him for these blessings.
- Encouraging contentment and asceticism in this world.
