عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «مَلْعُون مَنْ أتَى امرأتَه في دُبُرِها».

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) warns that the husband who has anal intercourse with his wife is cursed and expelled from Allah's mercy and that this is from the major sins.

• It is prohibited to have anal intercourse with women.
• It is permissible to enjoy the wife's body except for the anus.
• A Muslim approaches his wife through vaginal intercourse as commanded by Allah, but as for anal intercourse, it corrupts the natural disposition, disrupts procreation, goes against sound human nature, and causes significant harm to both spouses.

عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْقُشَيْرِيِّ رضي الله عنه قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، مَا حَقُّ زَوْجَةِ أَحَدِنَا عَلَيْهِ؟، قَالَ: «أَنْ تُطْعِمَهَا إِذَا طَعِمْتَ، وَتَكْسُوَهَا إِذَا اكْتَسَيْتَ، أَوِ اكْتَسَبْتَ، وَلَا تَضْرِبِ الْوَجْهَ، وَلَا تُقَبِّحْ، وَلَا تَهْجُرْ إِلَّا فِي الْبَيْتِ»

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the wife's right over her husband, so he mentioned several things including the following: First: Do not favor yourself with food over her; rather, you should feed her whenever you eat. Second: Do not favor yourself with clothing; rather, clothe her when you clothe yourself and when you earn money and have the ability. Third: A wife should not be beaten except for a valid reason and necessity, and if there is a need to discipline her, such as neglecting some of her obligations, the striking must be light and not harmful. Furthermore, the face must never be struck, as it is the most honored and prominent part of the body, containing delicate and noble features. Fourth: Do not insult or say: "May Allah disgrace your face," or attribute it or anything of her body to ugliness, which is the opposite of beauty. This is because Allah Almighty is the One Who shaped the human face and body, and He has perfected everything He created. Criticizing the creation indirectly leads to criticizing the Creator, and we seek refuge in Allah from such an act. Fifth: Do not abandon her except in the bed, and do not physically leave her or move her to another house. This applies to typical instances of abandonment that may occur between spouses.

• Keenness of the Companions to know the rights they owe to others and to know their own rights.
• A husband must provide his wife with maintenance, clothes, and accommodation.
• Moral and physical forms of abuse are prohibited.
• An example of the forbidden abuse is saying: You come from a bad tribe, or from a bad family, etc.

عن جابر رضي الله عنه قال: "كانت اليهود تقول: إذا جَامَعَها مِن وَرَائِها جاء الولد أَحْوَلَ، فنزلت: {نِسَاؤُكُمْ حَرْثٌ لَكُمْ فَأْتُوا حَرْثَكُمْ أَنَّى شِئْتُمْ}، [البقرة: 223]".

The Jews used to be strict regarding the positions of sexual intercourse without any knowledge to support that. The Aws and Khazraj tribes used to follow their sayings and actions because they were People of the Book. An example of their false beliefs is their claim that if a man had sexual intercourse with his wife in her vagina from her back, any child destined to be born out of this intercourse would be squint-eyed. Hence, Allah, the Exalted, revealed the following verse: {Your wives are a place of sowing of seed for you, so come to your place of cultivation however you wish} [Sūrat al-Baqarah: 223]. This verse refutes their claim and shows that Allah permits this position as long as it is done in the vaginal passage.

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : «إذا دعا الرجل امرأته إلى فراشه فَأَبَتْ فَبَاتَ غَضْبَانَ عليها لَعَنَتْهَا الملائكة حتى تصبح».

This Hadīth indicates that a woman should answer her husband's request of having sexual intercourse with her, or else she exposes herself to the angels' curse. This is restricted, however, by the husband's anger, as in Al-Bukhāri's narration. If he does not object to her refusal, there is no problem. This also applies if the wife has a legitimate excuse, such as being too sick to have sex or having another excuse that prevents her from coming to the husband's bed. Other than that, she has to respond to him. On the other side, the husband has to fulfill the sexual needs of his wife, if he notices that she wants to have sexual intercourse or asks him to do so. Allah says: {And live with them in kindness.} [Sūrat An-Nisā': 19]

عن عبد الله بن عمر رضي الله عنهما قال: لعن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم الوَاصِلَةَ والمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ، والوَاشِمَةَ والمُسْتَوشِمَةَ.

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) invoked the curse, expulsion, and removal from the mercy of Allah Almighty upon four categories: First: A woman who adds hair extensions for herself or for another. Second: A woman who asks for hair extensions to be added to her hair. Third: The one who tattoos, which involves piercing the skin with a needle in a part of the body, such as the face, hand, or chest, and inserting kohl or similar substances into it until it leaves a bluish or greenish mark, seeking adornment and beauty. Fourth: The one who asks to be tattooed. Such acts are from the major sins.

• Ibn Hajar said: What is prohibited in this regard is attaching hair to hair. However, if she attaches her hair with something other than hair, such as a piece of cloth or similar material, it does not fall under the prohibition.
• Cooperation in sin is prohibited.
• The prohibition of altering the creation of Allah, as it constitutes falsification and deceit.
• It is permissible to curse whoever is cursed by Allah and His Messenger, but in a general manner.
• Wearing wigs is included in the prohibited use of hair extensions in our time. It is prohibited considering the imitation of disbelievers and the deceit and fraud involved.
• Al-Khattābi said: The severe warning regarding these matters was mentioned because they involve deceit and fraud. If any of them were permitted, it would lead to allowing other forms of fraud. Additionally, it involves altering the natural creation, as indicated in the Hadīth of Ibn Mas‘ūd, where he stated: "those who alter the creation of Allah." And Allah knows best.
• An-Nawawi said: It is prohibited for both the doer and the one for whom it is done. The area that is tattooed becomes impure. If it is possible to remove it through treatment, it becomes obligatory to do so. However, if removal is only possible through cutting, and there is a fear of harm, impairment of a limb or its function, or causing severe damage to a visible part of the body, removal is not obligatory. If the person repents, there is no longer any sin upon him. If none of these risks are feared, it becomes obligatory to remove it, and delaying its removal is sinful. End quote.

عن جُذَامَةَ بنت وهب، أخت عكاشة، قالت: حَضَرْتُ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ، في أناس وهو يقول: «لقد هَمَمْتُ أن أنهى عن الْغِيلَةِ، فَنَظَرْتُ في الروم وفارس، فإذا هم يُغِيلُونَ أولادهم، فلا يضر أولادهم ذلك شيئا»، ثم سألوه عن الْعَزْلِ؟ فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : «ذلك الْوَأْدُ الخفي»، زاد عبيد الله في حديثه: عن المقرئ، وهي: {وَإِذَا الْمَوْءُودَةُ سُئِلَتْ}.

This Hadīth shows that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) wanted to forbid having intimate relations with one's wife during the suckling period, for it was common among the Arabs that doing so would cause harm to the baby. However, he did not forbid it once he came to know for sure that some peoples, like the Persians and the Romans, reported that no harm was caused to their children on account of doing this. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about ejaculating outside the vagina. He likened this to a pre-Islamic practice, when the Arabs used to bury their girls alive. The difference between both practices is that the infanticide was done openly, yet coitus interruptus is done privately.

عن أبي سعيد الخدري، أن رجلًا قال: يا رسول الله، إن لي جارية وأنا أَعْزِلُ عنها وأنا أكره أن تحمل، وأنا أريد ما يريد الرجال، وإن اليهود تحدث أن العَزْلَ المَوْؤُودَةُ الصغرى قال: «كَذَبَتْ يَهُودُ لو أراد الله أَنْ يَخْلُقَهُ مَا اسْتَطَعْتَ أَنْ تَصْرِفَهُ».

This Hadīth refutes the Jewish claim that pregnancy is impossible with coitus interruptus in the sense that it is like the termination of procreation through infanticide. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) asserts that this a lie. He says that pregnancy, despite coitus interruptus, is possible. In this case, if Allah wants to create, He will, and vice versa. So coitus interruptus is not really infanticide. Therefore, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) allowed the Companion to do it and refuted the claim of the Jews.

عن أبي سلمة بن عبد الرحمن، أنه قال: سألت عائشة زوج النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم : كم كان صَداقُ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ؟ قالت: «كان صَدَاقُهُ لأزواجه ثِنْتَيْ عشرة أُوقِيَّةً ونَشَّاً»، قالت: «أتدري ما النَّشُّ؟» قال: قلت: لا، قالت: «نصف أُوقِيَّةٍ، فتلك خمسمائة درهم، فهذا صَدَاقُ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لأزواجه».

The main point of this Hadīth is that it is recommended to pay a simple dowry, for the best dowry is the least in amount, and the best women are those who cost less charges. This Hadīth also indicates that the Prophet's dowry to his wives was twelve Uqiyyahs and a half. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was the perfect example in terms of traditions and acts of worship. One Uqiyyah comprises forty dirhams. So the whole amount that he paid to his wives were 500 dirhams. This is contrary to what people do today, exaggerating about dowries. They also boast about what they pay to the woman and her guardians, whether or not the husband is rich, the thing that has lead to delaying marriages.
