What you need to understand
Read slowly, take notes and ask about anything that is unclear. The goal is steady understanding—not rushing to the next number.
Faith appears in character
Truthfulness, mercy, patience, humility and keeping promises are not optional decoration. They are central fruits of faith.
Avoid backbiting, mockery, arrogance, suspicion and exposing people’s private faults.
Parents and relatives
Treat parents with kindness and respectful speech, including non-Muslim parents. There is no obedience in sin, but disagreement does not cancel good companionship.
Maintain family ties in a safe, reasonable way and do not use religion to justify neglect or control.
Rights and harm
People have rights over life, property, honour and agreements. If you wrong someone, repentance includes stopping the harm and restoring the right where possible.
Islam commands care for neighbours, orphans, the poor, workers, older people and anyone under your responsibility.
