BUILD · STAGE 07 OF 14

Know the Prophet ﷺ and follow the Sunnah

Study the Prophet’s life as one connected story and learn how authentic hadith explains lived Islam.

LEARN

What you need to understand

Read slowly, take notes and ask about anything that is unclear. The goal is steady understanding—not rushing to the next number.

01

The Prophets and his mission

Allah sent Prophets—including Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses and Jesus, peace be upon them—with one foundation: worship Allah alone. Muslims honour every authentic messenger and do not worship any of them.

Muhammad ﷺ is the final Prophet. He carried revelation faithfully and modelled mercy, courage, justice and patience.

Study his Meccan and Medinan life in order so that events, rulings and relationships are understood in context.

02

Why Sunnah matters

The Quran commands believers to obey the Messenger. His authentic Sunnah explains prayer, zakat, pilgrimage, character and many applications of revelation.

Following him is not worshipping him. Worship belongs to Allah; the Messenger is followed because Allah sent and commanded him.

03

Verify before sharing

Hadith reports differ in authenticity. Check the exact wording, narrator, collection and scholarly grading instead of forwarding an attractive quote.

Also distinguish the hadith text from a scholar’s explanation and from your own conclusion.

KEEP IN MIND

Important boundaries

  • Do not build religion from viral quotations without a source.
  • Do not treat every cultural habit of Muslims as a Prophetic Sunnah.
