عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ رَضيَ اللهُ عنهُ قَالَ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أُنْزِلَ -أَوْ أُنْزِلَتْ- عَلَيَّ آيَاتٌ لَمْ يُرَ مِثْلُهُنَّ قَطُّ، الْمُعَوِّذَتَيْنِ».Understand this hadith
‘Uqbah ibn ‘Āmir (may Allah be pleased with him) informed that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: Allah revealed to me tonight verses, the like of which have never been seen—meaning in seeking refuge— and they are the two Mu‘awwidhats: Surat al-Falaq and Surat an-Nās.
